Join our knowledgeable interpreters on a guided driving and walking tour of the town of Hillcrest and the Hillcrest Cemetery. Discover the amazing story of the worst underground mine disaster in Canadian History. The driving tours will leave from Leitch Collieries Provincial Historic Site parking lot at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Leitch Collieries is located 8km east of the Frank Slide Centre along Hwy #3 in the Crowsnest Pass.

The Crowsnest Pass is excited to launch its third annual Doors Open and Heritage Festival weekend. Join community groups, individuals and businesses as they offer free Doors Open programming throughout the community. Guided hikes, garden tours, cemetery tours and heritage building tours will all be a part of the Doors Open programming. Heritage Festival programming will include special programming at the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre, Bellevue Underground Coal Mine, Crowsnest Pass Museum, Crowsnest Country Market, outdoor theatre presentations and much more.
